This is a racket tailed drongo; another quite common bird in South-East Asia. We used to watch them flying around in Singapore and Malaysia quite regularly.
There are many different types of drongos, and they’re pretty distinctly black or dark grey. These racket tailed dongos have the forked tail and when you see them fly, you can see these little feathers trailing along behind and those are the ‘rackets’.
Fun fact, drongos can also mimic the calls of other birds!
Drongos remind me of many a fond memory of being in the jungle in South East Asia, and I hope to see them again one day.
